1. Silvestre finds it hard to be second choice
Written by: Hеkon Hшyland
Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre today admitted that he does not like the situation of beeing second choice behind Dennis Irwin at the club.
Silvestre who impressed last season, and played a big part in the United team, has this season become a second choice on the left-back, something the French defender finds hard to accept.
The France international said: "Alex Ferguson repeatedly opts to play Denis Irwin and that is something I find really hard to cope with."
"However I will hold myself back for the time being. I need to keep calm. It would be idiotic to blow a fuse but I've strung together some good performances so I feel somewhat bitter about our difficult start to the season."
"We have let in a lot of goals since the start of the season and according to the manager the problems stem from the centre of defence."
"I have sat through videos of our matches with the manager but I don't agree with the theories he puts forward."
2.Beckham: Scholes will not leave United
Written by: Hеkon Hшyland
England skipper David Beckham denied reports that his fellow midfielder at Manchester United, Paul Scholes, will leave the club.
Scholes is acording to reports, unhappy with his current position as a help for Ruud van Nistelrooy, and would instead like to play on the midfield again.
Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson were unhappy that Scholes refused to play the Worthington Cup game against Arsenal on Monday. Ferguson gave Scholes a large fine, and he have reportedly said apologised to the gaffer for the incident.
Beckham said: "There won't be a problem with Scholesy. He's a strong character and a big-game player. He's proved that over the years."
"I don't think there's any chance of him leaving Old Trafford."
"I don't think Scholesy is down, I've not seen any signs of that. I don't think there's any lifting that needs to be done."
"Obviously the story has been all over the papers but I don't want to comment on it as we want to keep it in our ranks."
"There was another story that I'm going to buy a pair of jeans for Ј2,000 and that's certainly not true."
3.Heavy Fine for Scholes
By Zoomsoccer, 2001-11-08
MANCHESTER, Nov 8 (ZoomSoccer) - Paul Scholes has been fined two weeks wages after being absent without permission from Manchester United's Worthington Cup tie with Arsenal.
According to reports, Scholes had a minor bust-up with manager Alex Ferguson following the 3-1 defeat at Liverpool, where the midfielder was sidelined, and his future at United now looks in jeopardy.
Subsequently Ferguson selected Scholes in the reserve crammed squad to face Arsenal in Monday's 4-0 defeat, however, Scholes failed to report.
Paul Scholes is very unhappy with his new role as a hanging forward after the arrival of Argentinian star Juan Sebastian Verón, and he has made his feelings clear to Alex Ferguson.
Juventus are romoured to be interested in taking over the unsettled player.
A mistrzem Anglii zostanie LEEDS !!!!!!!!!!!
